A short incremental game about eggs and automation

This short game was developed in ~8 hours as a quick submission to the Mini Jame Game #45. It focuses on abstractly smashing and catching falling eggs to gain two different types of points which can then be spent on various upgrades.  You can click on eggs to smash them faster and you can even accrue combos by clicking on an egg multiple times before it either hits the ground or is caught by a basket bot!

The special object that we were asked to prominently feature in this game jam was Eggs and I am fairly certain I don't need to spell out the ways this game features them.

The theme of this game jam was Automation which is featured prominently as the majority of the upgrade options as well as the most effective means of catching eggs is through the use of automated hovering basket bots that can be purchased and upgraded with your points.

I went into this jam with the goal to challenge myself to make something short and playable with no scope creep and I feel that I achieved that goal in this cute little incremental game. There is fun to be had in the "numbers get bigger" loop as well as the engagement of speeding up your progress manually by spam clicking eggs, but there is also good vibes in the playful art style, sfx, music, and themes.

I felt I learned a lot and had a ton of fun making this and I hope you enjoy checking it out!
