v0.2 Release!
Napitak » Devlog
Changelog:
- Multi-tiered crafting system with more depth and layering so exploring the crafting options is intriguing.
- A journal to track your unlocked recipes.
- An encounter map that allows the player to choose where they are going next out of multiple proc. gen'd options.
- A penalty for your deck reshuffling (perhaps a 1-2 turn stun or something while you "rifle through your potion bag").
- A more clear loss-con where you can see a summary of your run with an option to quit or try again.
- A wolf sprite in place of the one enemy currently in the game.(courtesy of my buddy Matt!)
- Tons of tiny QoL tweaks to the way cards are rendered as well as UI elements to aid in onboarding new players.
- Potion tooltips.
- A brief welcome tutorial that explains some basic mechanics. (needs to be expanded).
- A pause menu with the skeleton setup for settings menus.
Next Steps:
- Combat animation system
- Combat tutorials
- Save and load system
- Run meta-progression (XP, upgrades between runs, etc.)
- Flee mechanic
- More card effects (Blight, Scorch, Frost, Ward)
- Abilities for cards to more clearly effect you AND the enemy at the same time.
- Deconstructing potions to reclaim some of the ingredients.
- Weighted probability system for encounters with a uniqueness check (so you don't get 6 combats in a row.)
